Runtime Error T3003 - Errors 1335, 2351, and 2355: Corrupt Cabinet
When attempting to install The Exam Simulator, the InstallShield wizard may generate one of the following errors:

  • Error 1335 - The Cabinet File Is Corrupt and Cannot Be Used
  • Error 2351 - Setup Cannot Find The File Key...
  • Error 2355 - Corrupt Cabinet

If you receive this error, your computer is likely suffering from a CD-ROM drive configuration problem, or a problem with Microsoft's Windows Installer service. It is also possible, although unlikely, that your copy of The Exam Simulator has been damaged during shipment or download.

If Internet access is available to the machine on which you will be installing The Exam Simulator, the easiest solution to this problem is to contact technical support to obtain a downloaded version of The Exam Simulator. Internet access is required, as downloaded versions of The Exam Simulator must be registered via the Internet prior to use.

If Internet access is not available, you must first reference the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article, which gives instructions on how to resolve this problem with the Windows Installer service.

2351 and 2355 Internal Errors When Installing Software from CD-ROM

Please note that the workaround involving copying the contents of the setup CD-ROM to a folder on the hard disk will not work.

If after following these troubleshooting steps you are still unable to install The Exam Simulator, you copy of The Exam Simulator CD-ROM is likely damaged and unusable. Please contact technical support to procure a replacement.

Please note that obtaining a replacement will not solve this problem unless you first verify that the instructions in the aforementioned Microsoft Knowledge Base article do not help.

Ultimate responsibility for resolution of this problem, when not caused by damaged media, lies with Microsoft. The Exam Simulator technical support staff is unable to offer additional assistance with this problem unless directly related to damage to the distribution media.
