Under rare and special circumstances, The Exam Simulator may generate a Runtime Error 9 - Subscript Out of Range
exception immediately after the user enters a valid product code.
This error can only occur on Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows XP.
When The Exam Simulator is installed on a secured workstation, the installing Windows user account must have permission to
create directories, add files, and make modifications to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE registry hive. This user account may often
belong to a network administrator or other IT personnel. The subscript out of range error occurs when the account used to
install The Exam Simulator differs from the account of the person that actually uses the program.
If working Internet access is available, The Exam Simulator technical support staff can grant to the installing user
permission to download a copy of The Exam Simulator setup program that corrects this problem. Working Internet access is
required, as discless versions of The Exam Simulator must be registered before use.
To ensure that The Exam Simulator icon is available to the person that actually uses the program, the installing user
should run the fixed version of The Exam Simulator setup program manually, using the following command:
[SOURCEDIR]\setup.exe /V"ALLUSERS=2"
Where [SOURCEDIR] represents the path containing The Exam Simulator setup program.
If working Internet access is not available, The Exam Simulator technical support staff can ship to the user a new copy
of The Exam Simulator CD-ROM that corrects this problem.
