There exist two rare scenarios where The Exam Simulator may generate the following error message:
- Runtime Error 5 - Invalid Procedure Call or Argument
Neither of the following scenarios represent a problem with The Exam Simulator. They are both the result of an issue
with your computer that is likely causing other problems as well. In both situations, it will be necessary to uninstall and
reinstall The Exam Simulator prior to use. Depending on the severity of the problem, you may need to seek professional
computer assistance as well.
Scenario #1
Your computer's internal hard disk and/or registry may have become corrupted. Given enough time, all computers will
experience some form of data loss or corruption as a result of hardware failure or viral infection. It is possible that your
computer may be suffering from the results of such an event.
Note: The Exam Simulator CD-ROM is scanned for all known viruses, trojans, and worms prior to manufacturing. If your
computer is infected with any known virus, you may rest assured that The Exam Simulator CD-ROM is NOT the source
of the infection.
Scenario #2
If your computer has a CD/DVD combo drive, The Exam Simulator may have not been installed properly. Some CD/DVD
combo drives suffer from a Windows compatibility problem that intermittently causes files to be copied improperly. The
manufacturer of your CD/DVD combo drive (or the manufacturer of your computer) may have a fix available for this problem.
Alternatively, The Exam Simulator technical support staff can grant you permission to download a copy of The Exam Simulator
setup program that does not require the use of your problemed drive. Working Internet access is required, as discless versions
of The Exam Simulator must be registered before use.
